  • If you require any information about Coronavirus, please check the NHS Inform website - www.nhsinform.scot.
  • If you have Coronavirus related questions but do not currently have symptoms of Coronavirus, please call the Coronavirus helpline on 0800 028 2816.
  • If you are concerned about being ill due to Coronavirus, please call NHS 24 on 111 where your call will be triaged.

 

Please be reassured that the practice remains open and those requiring medical advice will be triaged by a doctor and seen if required.  You can do this by phoning 01506 771800.

 

We have suspended all routine appointments at this time. 

 

Prescriptions - To reduce patient numbers at our front desk, we will now be sending all prescriptions to a pharmacy of your choice.  When you order your prescription, please note which pharmacy you would like this to go to.  We are also taking prescription requests over the phone by phoning 01506 771800 Option 1, or you can order online and we have left a supply of these forms before the door into the health centre.  There is also a red box there that you can put your prescription requests into.

 

Information for our Patients at Highest Risk from Coronavirus

 

Letters have been sent out centrally from the NHS to our patients who have been identified as being in a group at highest risk from Coronavirus.  You may have already received this letter.  A copy of the letter can be accessed by clicking here.

 

This letter lists the groups of patients with certain conditions who are at highest risk and gives important advice to keep you safe.  We will be in touch with you soon if you have been identified as being in one of these groups.

Blood Pressure Monitors ( posted on Jun 11, 2012 )

We offer a service where patients can hire electronic blood pressure monitors for 3 days.  There is a £20 deposit which is refunded on return of the monitor.  If your GP feels this is necessary, he/she will ask you to arrange an appointment at the reception desk.  This service is run by one of our receptionists and she will show you how to work the blood pressure monitor and record the reading.

Phlebotomists ( posted on Jun 11, 2012 )

We have several phlebotomists within the practice who are trained in taking blood and also blood pressure. You can arrange an appointment with them at the reception desk.

Surgeries Running Late ( posted on Jun 11, 2012 )

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience you have experienced with surgeries running late. We operate a 10 minute appointment system and if you have multiple medical problems, please arrange a double appointment and this will help to ensure the GPs do not run late.

Missed Appointments ( posted on Jun 11, 2012 )

We have a significant amount of appointments which patients fail to attend.  This means we have fewer appointments available for people who really need our help.  Please cancel if you cannot attend.  Our policy within the practice is that if a patient fails to attend 3 or more appointments, they will be sent a letter warning them that if they miss a further appointment, they may be put off the practice list.  This is at the discretion of the GPs.
